Graphic Design Internship
Since Fall 2021, I have been working in APU's Department of Design as their intern. I design all of the graphics that I post on the Instagram. This could be for advertising certain events or interviewing students and professors to share their work with our social media audience. I also perform simple chores around the office like getting the mail and doing feng shui when necessary.

Record Packaging
I set out to accomplish packaging design for a vinyl comprised of my own blackout poetry—instead of songs. I was inspired by the name “Calliope,” the muse of poetry and song, and used it as the album title.
Calliope is based on the idea of “Dignity & Distress.” I was inspired by Pride and Prejudice because I ironically use this book of traditional white hierarchy to do my deconstructed-inspired collages, so this became my chosen source for writing blackout poetry.
I am challenging Jane Austen’s traditional views and allowing for deconstructed ideas to challenge the traditional value systems in our history.
Key attributes: grunge texture, 90's deconstruction, & gothic (moody/dark, opulent, & architecturally inspired)
Music Graphics
During COVID quarantine, I made "Music Monday" graphics to show lyrics/songs that I was listening to. It was a fun way to experiment with Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator so that I could find my style, share what I like, and keep myself accountable. I also have a few that are my own spin on preexisting album covers—"alternate album covers."
Poetry Designs
In Spring 2021, I decided to make a poetry book (made completely of my own poems and graphics). It includes experimentation in digital collages over the width of a double-page spread as well as captivating a more avant-garde style. A combination of Adobe Photoshop and Adobe InDesign were used in this process.
Music App Design: Fadeout
This project was mostly made in Adobe XD to create the design of a music-sharing app for the smartphone. Adobe Illustrator was also used. Copyright albums and songs were included to design this app.
Branding: Calli's Cat Café
For the project of rebranding a coffee shop, I decided to create my own coffee shop. I focused on a cat café because I love cats and wanted to fit that into my theme. Here is my logo for the cafe as well as mockups for the brand identity. This project was created using Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
Website Rebrand:
Sparky and the Gang
This redesign process was done with the intent of helping out a local non-profit that I feel passionate about. I love animals, and dogs specifically, so Sparky and The Gang felt like just the right fit. They needed a website update, and I also created a new logo for them! The website was made using Google Sites, but Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator were very evident in making the graphics and animations for the site.
Typography Book
A book where even the images are made of typography! Created mostly in Adobe InDesign. Nic & Puff depicts the very idea of "word as image." This is also a book on the social issue of smoking, hence the name Nic (nicotine) & Puff. These two names are of the characters I made to depict the very superheroes that would save the world from the effects of smoking. Nic, the main hero, and his sidekick, Puff, a camel.
